This area is excellent for resting and reducing the pace of daily life. The Boquerón State Forest office is located here. This forest occupies a large part of the southern area of Boquerón and the lands west of La Parguera to the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse, considered important natural and forest reserves. Here you can see different types of birds which nest before continuing their flight to other Caribbean Islands. Within the facilities of the Refuge we can enjoy educational and recreational activities. Activities such as bird hunting, water sports and fishing. Inside the Refuge we can bike and walk. Educational talks and reconnaissance trips around the place are also offered.
